Yes, the offline problem is real and it could stem from a host of reasons. We don’t need to go into details but here are the steps you can try when an HP printer says offline.

Resolve Error

Check for connection problems – Sometimes basic stuff is something that causes the most problems in a printer. So, you must check for the cable or wireless settings depending on the mode you are using your printer. 

Set it online – You have to set the printer to online status by using the steps listed below.

• Open Devices and Printers on your computer and right-click on the printer in question.
• Select ‘See what’s printing’ option and then, click on the printer menu button from the new window.
• Now, click on the Use Printer Online option from the menu.

You can also clear up the print jobs that are stuck in the queue to resolve the error. 

• Follow the above first step and then click on the ‘See what’s printing’ option.
• And you will see the print jobs in the queue, select all of them and cancel.
